A cat that tested positive for meth exposure has been put down by a Tulsa vet.

The cat was rescued during a drug bust in Catoosa in April. The vet says the cat had an incurable mouth infection and other issues related to neglect and it was suffering.  Despite a number of calls from people interested in adopting the cat, the vet says the most humane decision was to euthanize the cat.

Terry Lee Young and Kristi Maner were arrested in April after Wagoner Co. deputies say they found thirty shake and bake meth labs inside their home and the neglected cat.

Young is currently serving a seven year sentence while Maner got a ten year sentence.

The most HuMaNe action . . . for the vet or the pet. Some anti-biotics and a stiff reduction in dairy products for 11 days and the cat could probably go on to live a happy productive life eating cat food and filling the litter box.
