A cat has been stuck in a tree and won't come down. And he's been there for three days.
The cat's stuck in a tree on west 71st street just a couple of blocks from Tulsa Hills.
FOX23's Janna Clark has the story.
When his cat didn't come home, Jay Silva went looking.
"Knowing he likes to climb, I started looking up and there he was," Jay said.
Jay's cat, Frosty, was perched in a tree - and not just any tree - but a huge, 100-year-old, tree. Frosty had somehow climbed to the top, about 60 feet high.
And Frosty's been there for three days.
"I know he's hungry if not thirsty," Jay said.
"I called the Fire Department and everyone I could think of, and no one would help," he said.
Frosty's so high up, you can't hear him, but you can see him meowing.
"He's starving. It's been three days. He wants to come down but won't come down," Jay said.
"He's right there and I'm like dude, I can't help you."
Frosty is trying to get down, but every time he tries he almost falls.
"I thought i'm going to have to jump the fence and catch him"
As it gets darker, Jay knows Frosty's headed for his third night in the tree.
"He's not coming down. It's that simple. He's not coming down," Jay said.
And by now, Jay's more than frustrated.
"This isn't America, they're just gonna let that cat die. It's sad to me," he said.
He just hopes Frosty survives another night way up in that tree.
