Brandy Chase condominium neighbors spent the Saturday cleaning up glass from their car windows.
Neighbor Melody Brown said, “It something that I don't need and an extra bill.”
Brown is just one the neighbors who filed a police report Saturday morning about destruction in her neighborhood. Neighbors did not have to go far to see the damage.
Angel Cancel said, “Looking around, there’s a vehicle over there that the windows are all busted out also.”
Brandy Chase condominium complex manager Joann Moreno told FOX23’s Price McKeon at least a dozen cars were broken into around the same time Saturday morning.
Cancel’s car was broken into. He said, “I feel like I’ve been totally violated.”
Neighbors spent Saturday afternoon recovering and filing police reports. FOX23 was there when police officers searched cars and took photos.
Stephanie Howard said, “(My) driver side window was completely shattered and all my stuff out of my glove box was all over the car.”
Neighbors helped other neighbors clean up. A glass company was out going car to car repairing windows.
Howard said, “They stole a hair straightener, my GPS, like a separate one from the car and the iPod cord that hooks to my stereo.”
Cancel said, “Police told us to go through it and thank God nothing was taken.”
FOX23 was there when a Tulsa police officer filed reports with victims.
Cancel said, “Twelve cars now, 12 people have been victimized.”
Some neighbors said they had nothing missing from their cars. Other neighbors were not as lucky.
Brown said, “My notebook that I keep of my gas mileage (was missing) and all that. I don't know why they ended.”
Neighbors swept glass and a glass repair company employee went car to car replacing windows.
Cancel said, “I feel like I’ve been totally violated and I think we need to step up security around here.”
Moreno said the complex has security cameras.
