Shoppers beware of more than car break-ins but car thieves.
On Tuesday around 2pm, at the Wal-Mart at Admiral and Memorial a mother said she was carjacked.
The victim told FOX23 News as she was loading her groceries in her Ford Escape she noticed a suspicious man walking around her but he left.
Since it was warm that day, she had both windows down. The man then came up to the passenger window, stuck his hands inside and told her to get out.
The victim said the thief then jumped in the passenger seat and told her to go.
That’s when she jumped out of the car and he took off.
No one else was in the car.
Tulsa Police arrived but the carjacker was gone and the SUV couldn’t be found.
The SUV is described as a light silver 2005 Ford Escape with OK 770GGA.
The victim said the windows were tinted and there was a Tulsa Welding School sticker on the rear window on the driver’s side.
There was a booster car seat and a car seat in the SUV.
