A woman walked away from a nasty crash early Friday morning in north Tulsa.

It happened around 1:30am at I-244 and Highway 169. OHP says the woman driving the car was trying to exit on to Highway 11 from I-244 when she smashed through some construction barrels and hit a pipe that is meant to hold road signs over the road, but had not been installed yet.

The pipe tore through the car's hood, peeling it back and damaging the engine. The driver was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI, she was not hurt. There was a passenger inside the car but that person ran off and has not been found.
