Car accident in midtown Tulsa temporarily closes roadway

TULSA, Okla. - FOX23 was on scene after an SUV struck a bicyclist, an orange car, two gas meters and a telephone poll in midtown Tulsa.

Tulsa Police and Tulsa Fire Department were also on scene investigating this major crash.

Officials were forced to close the roadway at 11th & Lakewood Ave. until they completed their investigation. 

The roadway was closed for approximately two full hours while crews finished their investigation and cleared the mess of the crash.

The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital as well as the driver of the orange car and the bicyclist. 

FOX23 is looking into what lead up to the crash and why there are different reports of what happened. 

We look into what police believe and who is held liable for the biker's injuries.

Bicycles usually lose against cars. Hope the cyclist is ok. I ride too. Bikers;-It's a pretty day please use residential streets. Some of These self centered Okies can't see past the hood ornament.
