A grocery store planned for downtown Tulsa is now on hold.

The Facebook page for Cam's Grocery has a message saying plans are on hold because they have not raised all the money needed to continue the venture.

"Dear friends, It has been one year since we announced our efforts to put Cam's Grocery in 114 S. Detroit Ave. in downtown Tulsa. We were generously given an opportunity to hang our banner and plan the concept for the building rent-free until we occupied the building or until one year lapsed. We have been unable to raise all the money at this point and therefore are conceding our efforts to move into 114 S. Detroit. We are not giving up on Cam's Grocery and we will continue to look for investors and a new location.

For the time being, the Cam's Grocery team is operating Okie Alchemy Craft Juices & Teas at all four Tulsa farmer's markets and is working to sell Okie Alchemy products at grocery stores, convenient stores and restaurants throughout the Tulsa area later this year.

Thank you for all your support... Stay tuned."

The message says they are not giving up on Cam's Grocery and they will continue to look for investors and a new location.

Who would've thought that a hippie grocery store selling overpriced herbal remedies that don't work and overpriced organic food and is located in Downtown Tulsa would be such a bust?
