The ultimate procrastinators should know they will be able to stop off at any QuikTrip location to pick up a last minute gift on the way to the family Christmas party or to top off the tank.

If in need of a shot of caffeine or just a warm cup of hot chocolate, most Starbucks locations will be open from 8 a.m. until the late afternoon.

If the Christmas ham manages to be ruined or someone needs to get the family out for dinner in the afternoon or evening, TGI Fridays and Golden Corral will be open.

FOX23 talked to one woman who said she understands these places make money on Christmas and can be a good idea for somebody who doesn't have their family around for the holiday, but she wasn't a big fan of so many places staying open on Christmas.

"I feel bad for the people that have to work there," shopper Stephanie Powell said "I don't think it's fair to them to have to be open on Christmas Day and holidays like that because they should be spending time with their families."

Even so, for those looking for some family entertainment, movie theaters across the area will have show times throughout the day and evening.

Dave and Busters will also be opening up at 5 p.m. for some more adult-friendly Christmas fun.

Someone being not a fan of businesses open on Christmas is being just a little selfish. What about the people it inconveniences who don't celebrate Christmas? Why is it assumed that everyone celebrates Christmas? Why is it assumed that I won't be offended by the words "Merry Christmas"? Why is it assumed that if I don't celebrate Christmas I'm not a Christian or I'm a Jehovah Witness? It's like at work we aren't suppose to talk about God and our "beliefs" which I don't call them my beliefs I call them things I know, but that's a whole other subject. Yet everyone can walk around saying Merry Christmas to one another and decorate for the holiday etc and never get written up for talking about religion or God, but if you asked them why they celebrate this day they would mention both of those things. It's contradictory and makes no sense. First of all most people don't even know why they celebrate this day. They think it's because of Jesus' birth but it's not the case. They don't even know where it comes from or if they do know these things they don't care. If a surgeon was told to make a certain stitch everytime he does heart surgery and he happily does it without ever having studied it or ever having been told why he is suppose to do it and he comes up with his own reasoning for doing it as time goes on and starts to teach younger interns to do this and says it's for such and such a reason and then one day says hmmm I don't think I will do it this time and his patient dies he can't just walk away and say he isn't liable for the patients death because he never knew the real reason he has to take full and complete responsibility for his actions. Same when you have to be judged by God, he's not going to give you a pass when there was plenty of information out there for you to find and simply refused to research it or you just didn't care about where Christmas came from and just decided to keep it anyway. You can't please God doing thing man made up and God never commanded
