Drought like conditions and hot temperatures lead to burn bans in 6 Oklahoma counties.
Adair, Blaine, Beaver, Creek, LeFlore and Sequoyah counties are under a burn ban, meaning it is illegal to set fire to grass or crops, to build a campfire, or burn trash.
If you’re caught violating the burn ban you could be fined $500 or spend a year in jail.
