A standoff between a man in a home near 61st & Garnett and Broken Arrow police ended when the man surrendered.

Police said t started Thursday night around 8:30 pm when police were called to a domestic situation. Officers found a man and woman in the front yard of a home.

Police said the woman told police Jack Campbell, physically assaulted her and told her they were 'both going to die tonight.'  When Campbell saw officers they said he ran inside the home and refused to come out.

Police said he threatened to end his life instead of coming out to officers.  Officers fired pepper balls and tear gas into the home.

They eventually entered the home just before 1 a.m. and found him hiding in the attic. They said he surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody on complaints of domestic assault and battery by strangulation and resisting arrest.
