Broken Arrow police arrested five women for allegedly stealing from a retailer; the arrest came after a short chase.
Police say they were called about five women who allegedly stole from a store in the 3600 block of S. Elm Place around 11 pm on Monday. Police found the women were driving west on New Orleans and attempted to stop the car but the driver’s refused to stop.
Police continued to chase the car and observed the driver and front passenger to change places during the pursuit. The vehicle later came to a stop near 71st and Mingo in Tulsa.
Police arrested Shahara Monique Barnes, Juliet Reena Harding, Ceonna Rea Brown, Marie Bytreece McCullum, and Tries Monique Boyd.
All five suspects face charges with grand larceny, Barnes and Harding additionally face charges of attempting to elude. The value of items stolen from the merchant in Broken Arrow was approximately $1,500.
Tulsa Police are also seeking additional charges of grand larceny against the suspects for two earlier incidents at retail stores in Tulsa.
