Broken Arrow officials offer pools, libraries as heat respite

Broken Arrow officials urge customers to visit pools and libraries while power is restored.

Officials said city pools and splash pads are a great way to get a break from the heat. Public community centers and library branches are also a cool spot.

The following locations are available in the City of Broken Arrow for relief during the power outage.

Pools
  • Family Aquatic Center: 1200 S. Main Street
  • Country Aire Pool: 100 N. Fir Avenue
  • Nienhuis Pool (closed Wednesdays): 3201 N 9th Street

Spray Pool:

  • Camino Villa: 2812 E. Madison Place
  • Haskell: 601 E. Dallas Street
  • Jackson: 4800 W. Washington Street
  • Rockwood West: 901 W. Queens Street
  • Sieling: 525 W. Iola Street
Community Centers
  • Central Park Community Center: 1500 S. Main (open until 9:00 p.m.)
  • Nienhuis Recrecreation Center: 3201 N. 9th St. (open until 9:00 p.m.)
It is free to visit the community centers and the splash pads

The pools at Central Park and Nienhuis are priced as follows:
  • 0-3 yoa – free
  • Under 48’ - $4.00
  • Over 48’ - $5.00
The Pool as Country Air is priced:
  • 0-3 yoa – free
  • Under 48’ - $3.00
  • Over 48’ - $4.00
