Tulsa police say two men tried to abduct a 3-year-old boy at a Tulsa park Monday night.  They say the pair approached a woman and her child at Maple Park near 15th & Detroit where they talked about abducting and killing the 3-year-old boy, then tried to take him away from his mom.

The woman wrestled the toddler away from the men, and they also hit her in the process.  The woman ran to a nearby business and called 911.  Neither the woman nor the child were seriously hurt.  The men are described as "homeless."

Police say they arrested one of the men, Mitchell Keith, 52, but another is still on the loose.  The wanted suspect is described as Gary Keefer, 44 years old, with tattoos on his arm.  He may not be wearing a shirt, and has a skull tattoo and the letters "TK" on his right arm.  Mitchell is being held in the Tulsa County Jail facing two counts of Kidnapping After Former Conviction of a Felony, Resisting Arrest and Public Intoxication. Call police or Crime Stoppers at (918) 596-COPS with any information.

Stranger abduction is rare but usually results in violence, or death. Catch these people and lock them up. These are most likely to repeat if released.
