DEL CITY, Okla. (AP) _ Del City police are investigating the
death of a person whose body was found by firefighters as they
battled a blaze at a condemned apartment complex.
Fire Maj. Brandon Pursell says crews received a call around 3:50
a.m. Saturday about a fire at the Eagle Point Apartments. After
bringing the blaze under control, firefighters found the body in a
lower-level unit.
Police Capt. Jody Suit said there's a chance the fire was set by
someone trying to keep warm, but investigators are still looking
into what happened.
Suit said the body was recovered and taken to the medical
examiner's office.
No one else was found at the complex.
