An 18-year-old Fort Gibson woman is still terrified after the father of her five-month-old baby tried to kidnap her on Sunday.

“I was kind of shocked and scared,” she said Thursday.

FOX23 is calling her “Sarah” to protect her identity. What she went through on Sunday is enough to make anyone have sleepless nights.

“I was actually on my way to church and my youth pastor called me. They told me that my ex had a knife and he was going to kidnap me. He was going to use it to have his way,” she said.

FOX23 talked to that youth pastor who says he knew something was up was soon as he spotted Anthony Foster outside the church.

Fort Gibson Police say Foster and Jessica Sanchez were told to kidnap “Sarah” and bring her to Aaron Craiger whom “Sarah” has a protective order against.

“I just asked him how he got there, and he told me a friend.  He wouldn't tell me what friend, and immediately when that happened we got in contact (with “Sarah”) so she was able to be detoured from the church. She was not there, and then immediately me and the other men of the church contacted the authorities,” the youth pastor told FOX23.

Soon after getting that call, officers in Fort Gibson realized this was not a typical protective order violation, that there was much more going on in this case.

“I believe this plot was uncovered through good police work.  Once he began his investigation and began interviewing witnesses and coming up with suspects in that case, he uncovered the plot in the kidnapping and switched gears,” Lieutenant Brandon Combs told FOX23.

FOX23 did some digging and learned that Craiger was convicted of Second Degree Rape in 2006 in Oklahoma County and must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

“Sarah's” youth pastor doesn't think Craiger will ever learn his lesson.

“I don't think he'll stop until he's put away or made to go away.”

Sarah feels the same way, “I honestly feel like if he's not in jail, he won't stop."

Officers did recover a knife, and say all the suspects in this case have confessed to their roles in the plot. Police tonight are reassuring the people of Fort Gibson.

“This was an isolated incident; they have nothing to worry about,” Lieutenant Combs said.

It's unclear right now what charges will eventually be filed against the three suspects in this case. Police say they are done with their preliminary investigation but they are not done gathering all the evidence in this case.
