The walls are filled with photographs that he took. His wife and daughters share other things he likes to do that most of us may not know.
Victoria, Dewey's wife, tells FOX23, "He can captain a large boat, helicopter, truck, tractor, motorcycle."
She goes on to say, "He can go out and drive a tractor and he can come in and do a ribbon-cutting. He is a man of great, great diversity."
Part of that diversity ties back to his father, Dewey Bartlett Sr., a World War II veteran who became the governor of Oklahoma and went on to become a U.S. senator.
However, politics didn't come to Dewey Jr. until after he spent time working in oilfields and on a cattle ranch..
Mayor Bartlett tells FOX23, "My brother and I ran it, baling hay, building fence, doctoring cows, helping give birth to calves. I even gave a couple cesarean sections to heifers. And that's an interesting experience, to say the least."
Farming and hunting are their family traditions.
Mayor Bartlett's son, Dewey Bartlett III, continues, "We've gone bird hunting quite a bit together and that's a fun activity that we do. I don't know if he's as good as me but he's a pretty good shot."
Andrea, Mayor Bartlett's daughter, tells FOX23, "An example of how goofy we like to be, every single Christmas we like to wear matching pajamas, every one of us... it's just a fun family tradition ... and it just goes to show that he's a real jokester and real goofy and really relaxed at home and I don't necessarily think that the public sees that."
Ann, also Mayor Bartlett's daughter, says, "He loves dogs."
Mayor Bartlett responds, "(Yes) Trooper the wonder dog."
Ann tells a story of his kindness with Trooper: "Dad would go out to the farm and he'd pour bottled water out into his hands and let him lap the water out of his hands."
Mayor Bartlett said, "I'd bring him to work and he'd come into a meeting I'd be having especially if it's kind of an adversarial bit of a tough discussion... just kind of a cooling effect on everyone... petting him a bit... he was a great dog, I miss him."
FOX23 Anchor Shae Rozzi spoke with Mayor Bartlett, asking, "What do you think the one word would be to best describe you?"
Mayor Bartlett describes himself as, "interesting... committed, nice, lucky, all sorts of things like that but I'll stick with interesting right now -- interesting because I've had a lot of experiences in my life."
Rozzi also asked his family to describe the husband and father in one word. First Andrea speaks up, "dedicated."
Victoria chimes in, "you took my word... He's so dedicated to this city. He was born and raised here."
Dewey Bartlett III spoke fondly of his father. He said, "I would say dedicated. Throughout my life he's taught me no matter what I'm doing, just go 110 percent."
