Bartlesville police say they suspect alcohol may have played a role in a rollover accident early Friday morning. Barnsdall Police Chief Matthew Clark apparently rolled his pickup, a personal vehicle.
The crash happened around 3:30am on Frank Phillips Blvd. Officers drove up on the scene and discovered Clark trapped inside the truck. Crews had to use the jaws of life to free Clark from the vehicle. He was taken to the hospital, where police say blood was drawn for analysis.
Clark, 25, was hired as Barnsdall police chief in December of 2011. Clark has been released from the hospital, and is on paid suspension pending the outcome of the crash investigation.
