I honestly don't know why the school districts don't stop buying paper books. If we want to stop killing trees, we've got the technology for students to get their books on readers such as Kindles and Nooks. College students are saving good money by getting some of their books electronically on readrs. The readers could be made available by the school distract at a reduced bill rate to the parents. Assistance could be provided to those in need and the upside is the readers double as a netbook type of computer that is useable at all wifi locations or with purchased airtime. Lets bring these students into the 21st century. Just sayin......
