Bartlesville High School was on lockdown while police try to find who left a backpack in a hallway unattended.

The lockdown went into effect just before 2 p.m. Officers are trying to find the student who left the backpack to determine why it was there. School officials say a student dropped the backpack and quickly left the area.

The backpack was determined to contain school supplies. Police said there were not any threats. School officials dismissed students early to be safe.

The student has been released and an incident report was filed.

This is the town that destroyed a teen's life simply because he fantasized about the school blowing up (like the Alice Cooper Song).

Bartlesville crying "wolf!" again. It's almost as if they want the notoriety of a school shooting, but if a real threat were to ever come along, no one will be paying attention anymore.
