UPDATE -- On Wednesday, officers responded to a possible drowning involving a small child, in the 5000 Block of S. Toledo Avenue. The child was transported to St. Francis Hospital for treatment. Today, Child Crisis Detectives were notified that the infant, identified as James Dawson, had died. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Tulsa Police are investigating an 18-year old month who found her baby boy in a puddle of water.
Chief Officer Bill French of the Tulsa Fire Department, said paramedics responded to a call of a possible drowning of a 9-month old around 9:45 Wednesday morning at the Yacht Club Apartments in the 5000 block of S. Toledo near Yale Ave.
The mother told paramedics she left her 19-month old child in the shower and 9-month old on the bathroom floor beside the bathtub -- alone -- while she was in the kitchen washing dishes. After completing her chore, the mother returned to the bathroom and discovered the baby in a puddle, unresponsive.
"I think it's crazy, irresponsible, I would never do it, I can't imagine anybody else doing it," neighbor and mother of an 8-year old Michelle Marnielli said.
She rushed the baby to the apartment manager's office. When EMSA paramedics arrived, they tried for 20 minutes trying to revive the baby, who was transported to St. Francis Hospital in critical condition.
The mother is married, but is currently separated from her husband. No other adults were at the apartment when it happened.
The incident has evolved into a criminal investigation.
