Students from Broken Arrow High School have taken to twitter to protest the alleged suspension of science teacher John Beasley.

The hashtags #freebeasley and #baharlemshake appeared Friday.

Beasley was allegedly suspended for making a "Harlem Shake" video with his students.

Broken Arrow Public Schools released this statement Friday night:

"I can never confirm specific personnel issue details like suspensions, but I can tell you that there have been no employee suspensions today, yesterday, or any other time this week. Our teachers can use technology like YouTube for classroom activities, but it has to meet our policy as far as the content goes."

Students upset by the alleged suspension created a response video in which students are heard chanting "Free Beasley."
