Tahlequah Police officers say a man jailed on drug charges didn't keep his mouth shut and helped them uncover a stolen property ring.

Police say they received a tip to speak with Johnny Berbee who was behind bars.

Cherokee County deputies and U.S. marshals was able to recover five rifles, jewelry a PlayStation two and tools.

They also found three meth labs in the home. FOX23's Dontaye Carter spoke with one of the victims, who walked the reporter through his home to show him the damage. Darrell Byfield lost eight rifles and 4,000 rounds of ammunition during a burglary on Friday.

"I don't know how to describe it. It's an invasion of privacy. This is your sanctuary where you're supposed to feel safe and everything and somebody comes in and messes that up," said Byfield.

Berbee faces burglary charges.

Investigators believed Berbee was involved in the crime.

Police say Berbee told them about several locations where they were able to find some of the stolen property. Investigators say they are expecting to arrest at least one other male.
