Fire crews in Osage County say a string of grass fires near Highway 87 and Shell Creek Road Wednesday were likely the work of arsonists.

A spokesman for the Rock Fire Department says it looks like people driving along Highway 97 fired fireworks out the window, and caught the grass on fire in at least five areas.

Anyone with any information on the case is asked to call the Osage County Sheriff's Office.
