Okmulgee County deputies arrested a man they say shot two people early Wednesday morning.

The shooting happened around 6 a.m. Deputies said a fight broke out during a New Year's Eve party.

FOX23 cameras were rolling hours later as Andrew Eversole was handcuffed and put into the back of a deputy's car.

One neighbor admitted being scared, but wanted her identity protected, "Shocked and it scares me because it's so close to home. And with these kinds of people being your next door neighbor being that kind of person it scares you to death just to come."

Okmulgee deputies, the District Attorney's Drug and Violent Crimes task force and members of OHP drew guns and searched an apartment complex for Eversole.

"Well, anytime you have someone that does something like that violent it's very important to get that person into custody and off the street," said Robert Heath, an investigator with the Okmulgee County sheriff.

Eversole was booked on charges of shooting with intent to kill.

Both victims were taken to the Okmulgee hospital and then to a Tulsa hospital by helicopter.

Deputies continue to investigate and neighbors say they're glad the suspect's out of their neighborhood.

FOX23 has got to have the lousiest videos on the internet. It takes ten minutes to try and view a two minute video. Match a gear before you become the HISTORY channel.
