UPDATE -- BROKEN ARROW, OK -- The Broken Arrow Police Department has made an arrest in the 2007 rape case of a 5-year-old girl.

Broken Arrow police have arrested 32-year-old Douglas Polk, Jr. in connection with the 2007 rape of a 5-year old girl. The girl was taken from her home in September 2007. Police say she was raped and later found naked wandering about 7 miles away from her home.

Neighbors describe the man who abused the little girl as a monster.  The suspect is Douglas Polk .

Police say they have no doubt Polk was the one who abused the child known as the BA  Angel.

Police records show Polk admitted to kidnapping the 5-year-old girl. In the official  affidavit Polk told them he drove the girl to a nearby alley and sexually abused her.

On Friday, Polk was arrested for domestic assault and battery and violating a protective order. That's when authorities say Polk admitted to raping a 7-year-old girl four years ago.  Plus, he admitted he molested the same child, now 11 years old, again just recently.

The same detective working both cases recognized Polk’s name and said  he was a person of interest early in the BA angel case but there was not enough evidence at the time.

Now two and half years later, an accused child rapist is off these streets.

“We have lived and breath this case from but one man has lived and breathed it from the night it happened until now," says Major Carole Newell.

Hundreds of tips were generated, hundreds and thousands of dollars were posted for a reward and even a sketch made from the victim’s interview has been plastered across the city.

Tulsa County Assistant District Attorney Jake Cain says charges have not been filed but are expected to be next week.

Polk was arrested on 3 charges of First-Degree Rape, Rape by Instrumentation, Kidnapping, Violation of Protective Order, Domestic Assault & Battery in the presence of Minor, Interrupt/Interfere with an Emergency Call, and Obstruct/Interfere with a Police Officer. He is being without bond.
