Arraignment re-scheduled for Tulsa couple charged with abuse and neglect

A Tulsa couple charged with child abuse and neglect have had their arraignment re-scheduled.

Police arrested William and Erin Lewallen in November after they found a 22-month old girl locked in a dog crate in November. A neighbor spotted a naked three-year old boy and found the little girl locked inside the dog crate.

Another three-year old boy was found naked, asleep in the master bedroom next to Lewallen. Police say Lewallen had taken narcotic painkillers with beer to deal with back pain.

The court date is now scheduled for March 18th.

Agree with aleman and t town 253, there was evidence pointing to this being a regular lifestyle for them and that this little girl had been locked in the dog cage before for long periods of time. No excuses for parenting such as this...he is obviously a doper and she is either neglectful or really dumb and absent most of the time, both should go to jail and lose the kids permanently.

Disagree with you MayorMaynot. What could be so much more important than children being locked in a dog cage and running around naked in the freezing cold?

Look, as atrocious as this sounds, our courts have more serious fish to fry than this. This ?couple? Just had one bad day. Everybody is entitled (face it it could be you) to at least one. This has probably been a good wake up call for both of them to work together a little better for the good of all.
