Cherokee County sheriff's deputies are looking for the person who robbed Speedy's Convenience Store at the intersection of State Highway 62 and Welling Road around 11pm Wednesday.

The man entered the store in dark clothing and a ski mask, and pointed a gun at the clerk, forcing him to empty the register.  The suspect then forced the store clerk into a walk-in cooler and the suspect ran away.

The suspect was wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt or jacket, dark colored pants, black gloves and dark colored athletic shoes with a gray or silver strip on the lower portion of the back side of the shoes.  The handgun carried by the suspect appears to be a revolver that is silver or nickel plated in color.  The face mask worn by the suspect covered his entire face and only his eyes were visible.

Anybody with information on this armed robbery is asked to contact the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office at (918) 456-2583.
