Arkansas County Jail officials say mistaken identity caused them to accidentally release the wrong inmate.

Authorities say Charles Lamont Thompson, 41, is back behind bars Wednesday.

Thompson was found and arrested Monday in Fort Smith.

Thompson was mistakenly released instead of his cousin, who was also in jail.

Deputies say the two share the same last name and they look alike.

Thompson is now facing more charges.

He's also wanted in Sequoyah County here in Oklahoma.
