The state has dismissed charges against an Arizona woman who was arrested for allegedly travelling with seven pounds of meth.
The charges were dismissed so Tania Elizalde can be prosecuted federally.
Elizande previously entered a not guilty plea on the charges. Tulsa police say they got a tip Elizalde was flying into Tulsa and was travelling with meth. Police say they used a K9 officer and the dog alerted on the woman’s bag. Police say two plainclothes officers approached Elizalde and told them their dog alerted on her bag.
According to the arrest report she told officers they could look in the bag if they wanted. Police searched the suitcase and found seven pounds of meth in the lining. Police arrested Elizalde for aggravated trafficking of meth.
