SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Apple has introduced a smaller iPad with a price starting at $329.
The iPad Mini has a screen about two-thirds the size of the full-sized version and is thin as a pencil. It has cameras on the front and back. Wi-fi-only models come out November 2, while later models will be capable of accessing LTE wireless data networks.
Apple also introduced the 13-inch MacBook Pro laptop with a Retina display with better resolution than the older model. It also uses flash memory instead of a hard drive. It's on sale now for $1,699.
