SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - The flags in front of Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, Calif., are flying at half-staff to honor the company's co-founder Steve Jobs who died yesterday at age 56, after a more than seven-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jobs is being remembered as one of the world's greatest innovators -- someone who saw ways for technology to change our
lives before most others could imagine them. He brought the world the iPod, the iPhone and then the tablet-sized iPad computer.

President Barack Obama says he "exemplified the spirit of American ingenuity."

Apple's recently-appointed CEO Tim Cook says, "Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built."
