A federal appeals court will hear arguments by a former TPD officer convicted of corruption.

Attorneys for former Corporal Harold Wells will make their case at the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver.   Wells says authorities never got a warrant to secretly video tape an FBI sting in 2009 that appeared to show him stealing money.

The TPD corruption case resulted in 11 officers being charged or named as co-conspirators.

Does the FBI have to get a warrant to video tape a sting involving another law enforcement officer? This cop is a crimminal and should not get another appeal much less have the case thrown out. He did the crime now he needs to do the time.
