The Oklahoma Department of Public Safety has cancelled an Amber Alert for a missing toddler, 2-year-old Hayden Lee Potter. Authorities said he was with his grandmother, 57-year-old Phyllis Potter, who has mental problems and may have been off of her medication.
The two were located in Kansas, less than 30 minutes after the Amber Alert was issued, although the boy was reported missing around 3:00 Wednesday afternoon. The little boy was traveling with his grandmother in a 17-foot U-Haul, but is said to be doing fine. The boy's mother will pick him up in Kansas.
Authorities say Potter said she was going to McAlester to "visit her son in prison." However, the pair were discovered in Kansas after police say Phyllis Potter got confused about where she was going.
