FOX23 received cell video of what an attorney called an inmate fight club.
Video from the Avalon Correctional Facility, in north Tulsa, shows shirtless inmates punching each other in a room filled with bunk beds.
Attorney Louis Bullock, who represents inmates, told FOX23 he was approached by an Avalon inmate in November. The inmate told Bullock he had a broken hand as a result of a fight at the correctional facility.
Bullock said he talked to other inmates, and they told him the guards at the facility made them fight.
Bullock said they had regular fights in which inmates fought each other, and the guards would bet on the fights.
No lawsuit has been filed as of right now.
FOX23 reported earlier this week the Department of Corrections is in the process of shutting down that correctional facility.
The DOC sent a letter to Avalon and told them they would be shut down after investigations showed evidence of serious misconduct.
On Friday, the DOC is meeting in Oklahoma City to discuss the Avalon closure.
