The Tulsa Fire Department says three firefighters hospitalized with burns after a fire at the Tulsa School of Arts and Sciences have now been released from the hospital.

Officials say the firefighters underwent skin grafts for burns and their burns are healing properly, although they face a long healing and therapy process.

Eight firefighters were injured fighting the accidental fire and explosion at the former Barnard Elementary School building, three firefighters suffered serious burns.

None has returned to work.  The fire and explosion earlier this month was determined accidental following construction of a vent in the school's chemistry lab.
