Even though the snow hasn't arrived here in Green Country, FOX23 found out Tulsa International Flights are delayed from other snow in other parts of the country.
FOX23 went to the Tulsa International Airport to find out just how many flights are delayed.
The flight status board read: delayed, delayed, and more delayed - that's what we had been seeing all Saturday night.
But it's not just the planes landing in Tulsa that are delayed, many flights leaving Tulsa are delayed too.
We found one family traveling from Connecticut to Oklahoma City; but with the weather they ended up in Tulsa.
The family we spoke with had a 4-year-old who had been traveling all day on Saturday and has his wings to prove it.
"We could have made it, in the 12 hours of travel, we could have made it probably to Tokyo," Pamela Prather said.
But instead, this mom and son made it Tulsa.
Prather left the snow in Connecticut to see family in Oklahoma City.
They flew from Connecticut to New York to Atlanta.
She tried to figure out how to get to Oklahoma City the best way, but avoiding the snow and flight delays put her right here in Tulsa.
Delays and cancellations continue here because of the weather.
She says even her flight to Tulsa wasn't on time.
And now with a chance of more winter weather on its way to here in Tulsa, more delays may be on their way.
Prather says all three bags didn't make it to Tulsa, but at this point she's glad to be here.
"Actually the fact that we're here seeing family and starting off the New Year healthy and happy I think it all turned out OK," Prather said.
Flights are still flying in and out of Tulsa International Airport as of Saturday night.
Stay with FOX23 and we'll keep you updated with flight delays when the snow storm hits.
