AAA Oklahoma is offering Tipsy Tow over the Labor Day weekend.

AAA Oklahoma’s Tipsy Tow community service program runs from 6 p.m. on Friday, August 31st until 2 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4th.

“Labor Day gatherings that involve alcohol can become very dangerous when driving is involved, especially in warm weather,” said Chuck Mai, spokesman for AAA Oklahoma. “If you plan to drink, make arrangements to avoid driving. Impaired driving puts all road users at risk.”

Last year over the 78-hour Labor Day holiday period in Oklahoma, 123 people were killed or injured in 62 alcohol-related crashes.

To call for Tipsy Tow, dial (800) AAA-HELP and ask for Tipsy Tow. AAA will provide a free tow and a free ride for the vehicle and up to two people, no questions asked, within a 15-mile radius from point of pickup.

Tipsy Tow will take you to only one place, and that’s home. The service is offered at no charge to AAA members and non-members alike.
