FOX23 investigates what happened Saturday morning at the Cherokee Hills Golf Course.

Around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Hard Rock Security received a call of a person sleeping on the Casino's golf course.

When security officers arrived to the course, they found a man laying motionless and discovered he was dead.

Security then called Catoosa police and they responded around 8 a.m. to investigate the scene.

Catoosa's team of officers investigated the case but said it's still too early to say exactly what took place.

Police said they will wait on the autopsy and the surveillance footage before releasing any more details.

Catoosa's Chief of Police Kevin McKim told FOX23 police suspect no foul play.

McKim said the body had no blunt trauma and no injuries.

The cause of death is still unknown, however, the victim's family did tell officers the man had a history of heart problems.

The medical examiner will release an autopsy report by the end of next week.

Catoosa police are also working with the Hard Rock Casino security team to find out why the man was on the golf course alone, Friday night.

Officers will be checking the surveillance footage to find out those details and more.

However, the Chief of Catoosa Police Department said reveiwing the surveillance tapes could take up to three or four days to obtain.

The investigators said they will know more by the end of next week, once the autopsy and surveillance tapes are released.

The name of the victim has not been released but FOX23 does know the victim is a 41-year-old, white male.

Stay with FOX23 and we will bring you more details as they come to us.

I'm just guessing but this ole boy may have roosted there before. In the placid memory of times past he lay down there to take a nap. Sweet dreams and long adventure space drifter as we peer off into the atmosphere.
