A Tulsa woman wants answers after her pit bull was shot and killed.
Jordan Martin told FOX23 that a blue collar is one of the only memories that she has left of her dog, Ares.
“I just want some type of explanation,” said Martin.
Martin contacted FOX23 after she said she received a phone call from her property manager on Wednesday that her pit bull was dead.
“She said, you neighbor shot your dog because it tried to attack them,” said Martin.
Martin said that she hasn’t received a lot of information regarding what happened except a note that was left in her mailbox. She said that she can’t erase the image of the plastic bag that her pet was put in.
“I just don’t understand how they could leave him in a trash bag on my curb and think that that is ok.”
An incident report was filed but Martin said she still doesn’t know who shot her animal, and if the dog attacked someone she wants to know what happened.
“I just want to know who it was, I want to know why,” said Martin, “I want to know what happened and if they say they were attacked I want to know about it.”
FOX23 confirmed with Tulsa Police that officers responded to the scene and an incident report was filed by animal control.
Jordan said that she will continue to search for answers and talk with animal control about the details of the incident.
