A Broken Arrow non-profit was vandalized two times in two days this week. Broken Arrow Neighbors provides clothing, food and medical attention to people in need. On Tuesday vandals smashed windows and stole property.
“Initially I felt very violated and very angry,” said Executive Director Kim Goddard.
Goddard told FOX23 that when she showed up at work on Wednesday morning she found a window on the side of the work van had been smashed and donations were scattered all over the lawn.
Crews cleaned up the mess but on Thursday they discovered that they had been vandalized again.
“The front windshield of that van had been shattered,” said Goddard.
Vandals also smashed two windows in the food storage warehouse. Goddard believes that whoever is responsible used a rock to break the windows.
She told FOX23 that volunteers from the United Way Day of Caring helped her to clean up the facility on Friday. Goddard said that they boarded up the windows and filed police reports but they still don’t know who is behind the vandalism.
“I think more than anything I am just disappointed that something like this has happened and we don’t have an explanation why.”
