One of the victims of the quadruple murder in Tulsa is laid to rest Monday.

The service for 55-year-old Julie Jackson was held in Okmulgee. Jackson was one of four women shot and killed one week ago today at the Fairmont Terrace apartments. So far, no arrests have been made.

FOX23 met with Julie’s family after the service and they say her feet may have gone the wrong way sometimes, but her heart was always in the right place.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time Julie’s mother has had to say a final goodbye to her child.

"My oldest son died December the 10th from Sarcoma tumors. That's two I've lost in less than 13 months now,” says her mother Lyne West.

Family and friends tell FOX23 that Julie had a big heart and loved helping others. She also loved to ride horses; paint and she could fix almost anything.

Julie, along with Rebeika Powell, Kayetie Melchor and Misty Nunley were gunned down at the Fairmont Terrace apartments last Monday. The killings happened near Julie’s apartment.

"I was looking for her on the balcony, but I didn't know she was one of the ones that had been hauled off in an ambulance,” says West.

As police search for who did it, the family continues to pray.

"These people need to be brought to justice whether it is one or whether it be ten,” says Julie’s brother Clifford West.

“We've prayed and I've got a just God that He's going to get them. There isn’t a place they can hide and there is no place they can go,” says West.

Julie is survived by her mother, three children, her husband, brothers, sisters and six grandchildren.

The Tulsa Police department is still closely following up on leads in this case. If you have any information, please call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
