3 year old accidently shot

Tulsa Police responded to the 4100 block of E. First St. at about 12:20 p.m. They found a 3 year old boy with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Police say the child was in the care of his grandmother and her boyfriend. The boyfriend was messing with a .22-caliber revolver when he accidentally shot the child.

Police say the boyfriend was in a room with the child at the back of the home. The boyfriend told officers he bought the firearm at a flea market and did not think it worked.

EMSA transported the child to the hospital in serious condition.
