An accident just before midnight shut down Highway 169 at Pine for about an hour early this morning.

Tulsa Police tell us the accident happened near the exit ramp to 36th Street North.

They say a driver in a SUV heading North on 169 lost control of his vehicle and crashed, hitting the guardrail.

The driver was ejected from the vehicle, but police say he was responsive on scene.

He was transported to the hospital with what police believe are non-life threatening injuries.

Police tell us a second vehicle crashed into the SUV because it was so dark.

The second driver was not injured.
