Crews in the Sapulpa area were called to a car lot fire near Old Highway 66 and west 91st Street south on Wednesday morning.

It happened at the Total Resource Auction lot. Crews say 16 cars were burned and the flames may have been sparked by a car battery.

The call went out around 5:30am, and crews had it under control by 6:30am. It took them a while to get inside the lot because an employee had to get there to let them in.
