SAND SPRINGS, Okla. - An armed robber is on the loose after holding up a popular Sand Springs gas station.

Sand Springs Police say it happened at the Kum & Go store, near Adams and Morrow Road around 12 a.m. Monday.

Police told FOX23 a man came in with his face covered up to his nose.

He pointed a gun at the clerk inside the store and demanded money.

Officers said the clerk went along with the demands and pulled the money out of the check stand and handed it over.

Police said the armed robber made the clerk get down on the floor and stay there, while he ran away.

Police confirmed no one was hurt.

The culprit is described as a white male who wears glasses and is about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall.

The robber is reported to be balding but has a mustache and goatee. Police confirmed that the robbery is on surveillance footage.

However, they're also putting together clues about another visit the culprit had to the Kum & Go earlier before Monday, before the robbery occurred.

FOX23 is working to gather those details about who police believe is the person responsible for this armed robbery.
