Midtown gas station robbed

Police in Tulsa are investigating an armed robbery at a Fiesta Mart near 11th and New Haven in midtown Tulsa.

Police say someone threatened a gas station cashier with a gun, then got away with the cash.

At about 5:00 this morning, 4 police cars surrounded the Fiesta Mart.

The suspect had his face covered, so the cashier could not see him, but she says she recognized his voice.

Police say he walked in the store, pointed a silver handgun at the woman behind the counter and demanded money.

He never fired the gun, and no one was hurt.

Police brought a K9 to search the are, but they were unable to pick up a scent.
