BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - Quick facts:
- Bartlesville firefighters say a man swung a machete at them after saying someone had given his child meth.
- Crews were able to hold him down until police arrived.
Fire crews in Bartlesville say they were threatened by a man with a machete after he said someone had given his toddler meth.
Firefighters say they were at a Circle K convenient store around 2:30 Monday afternoon when they noticed a man acting strangely with two children.
They say George Rubatt was carrying one of the children, a two-year-old, like a sack of potatoes when he approached them screaming that someone gave his baby meth.
Crews say they tried to calm him down, but when Rubatt found out they had notified police, the suspect threatened fire crews by taking a machete out of a black backpack and started swinging it around.
Crews were able to wrestle him down and hold him until police arrived.
Firefighters say police had to use a Taser on Rubatt.
