Lee Elementary breaking ground on outdoor classroom

Updated:

TULSA, Okla. - Lee Elementary will break ground on its new Discover Lee Outdoor Classroom Friday, July 18.

In April, the Lee Elementary School Foundation celebrated the school’s 95th anniversary by introducing a signature project, the Discovery Lee Outdoor Classroom. The foundation has since been gathering funds for the project, which is estimated to cost $180,000.

When complete the outdoor classroom will include a children’s forest, prairie classroom and a science education classroom. Teachers will be able to incorporate the unique outdoor space into their curriculum and strengthen students’ science-related learning.
