The Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office says they found candy with marijuana in it when they pulled over a driver on Highway 69.

They say the driver allegedly bought the gummy snacks with THC in them in Colorado.

Deputies say they are worried this edible form of the drug could get into the hands of kids.

They say children would not be able to differentiate between the THC-infused candy and regular candy from local stores.

People around town say it is a valid fear that kids could eat the drug. Some deputies say they were fooled by the looks of it, having to test the product to know it had marijuana in it.

They are also concerned that with five milligrams of THC in each piece of candy, kids that ate it would overdose.

Deputies reported that they sent the candy to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for further investigation. They will turn it over to the district attorney to determine if they want to press charges.
