• Broken Arrow welcomes students to new elementary school

    BROKEN ARROW - Quick  Facts:

    • Timber Ridge Elementary School welcomed students Thursday for the very first time
    • An $18.6 million bond from 2015 funded the new school
    • It has room for 900 students, though only 600 currently attend
    • Timber Ridge boasts the city's largest English Language Learns program; about 30 percent of Timber Ridge students utilize the program 
    • The gym doubles as a FEMA-certified safe room capable of holding all students and faculty
